A gift for a traveler who has it all... February 17, 2010 PattyCake (NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't personally review the product but can tell you the receiver seemed happy to receive it. It was a gift for my brother, who spends all week on the road for work - so this seemed like a great idea for him to leave in his car.
Swiss Tech BodyGard Platinum 7-in-1 Multi-Function Emergency Tool with Key Ring August 1, 2009 pjthekidsmommie (Tucson, AZ USA) I gave this key ring tool as a gift to my daughter-in-law. Since she drives alone to work everyday and walks her dog at night, there might come a need for some of the device`s special functions. It seemed inexpensive and it fit nicely into a purse that was also part of the gift. I hope she never has to use any of the special functions but it is always better to be prepared in case of an emergency. Since this device is the size of a key ring, she can either hook it to her keys or to her purse and always have it on hand.
It just looks good, but... November 9, 2008 MM-K (California) 2 out of 11 found this review helpful
We were disappointed because it looked like a toy made of cheap plastic. We immediately returned the product.
Worth reviewing a safety product before buying it: September 16, 2008 Safety Guru (CA, USA) 1 out of 15 found this review helpful
It is essential to check it out a safety product before buying it to make sure that it does what it pretends to do. Make a search online with key words like "keychain rescue/emergency tool" and see what it is available in the market. The right safety product is worth being investigated to make the right choice to warrant your own peace of mind. Safety products looking too good (in a picture or on tv) or even featuring too many options in the same product usually does not keep its promises by failing in its main features. The best thing to warrant its reliablitity is to test it in a junk yard the features of breaking side windows and of cutting seat belts. If you can not test, I highly recommend to go with the real original brand products that are usually tested and even used by public safety professionals.
Nice but thought it was aluminium August 31, 2008 Terry Kennewick (Tri-CIties WA USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is something I hope I never have to use. Seat belt cutter/window hammer. It is compact and I've seen it advertised on television and found the best price here at Amazon. Would make a great gadget gift for the person who has everything. Small/compact and could be easily carried on a keychain. The other items could be useful, however, I purchased for hopefully never having to break out of my car. It's a definate buy for people that travel around/near a lot of water, ravines, etc. You hear about those few accidents where people are trapped and can't get out of their seatbelts or under water cannot open windows (electric) and you'd be extremely hard pressed to break auto glass. So... it's most likely in that situation you'd pay hundreds/thousands to have this item in your car with you. Great to keep on a keychain, or in your glove box. I will be buying more. The presentation is a clamshell cover vs. the aluminum presentation box I've seen on TV. So, for the few dollars more you get the same thing but in a bit more elaborate way. I say buy one and put in each car/buy one for each child that's driving. It's just a great peace of mind tool. I did have a neice that slid on ice and went into a cold muddy channel... had someone not jumped in and got her out. She would have drowned in her own vehicle. It set an impresion with me and it's why I made my purchase. Swiss Tech BodyGard Platinum 7-in-1 Multi-Function Emergency Tool with Key Ring
