Love it! July 22, 2010 Kate Heitman (Stroudsburg, PA) Even though we are on our second harness from this company I love it. My dog is safe and comfortable. She can't get out of it, it makes her safe in the car, the padding is twisting a little but it's not a major problem. WE love this harness. I have no idea what happened to the first one, she was being dog-sat and one of the straps was cut. It was getting a little tiny for her anyway. She is a 50lb lab mix and we have her in the large now. The medium always made me feel like one of the straps might pull through...It is easy to put on her, and even our vet likes it. :)
Dog Safety Harness July 2, 2010 Linda Mossholder (Newark, OH USA) Wanted to keep my dog from becoming a 50 pound projectile when I travel. I also want him not to try to climb in my seat when I drive. Looked a several harnesses. This one was rated high. I am pleased with the purchase. My dog adjusted to wearing it very quickly. My vet is going to recommend it to her clients. Good purchase. I may buy one for my brother's dog.
I love it! June 20, 2010 Sara Sparavec (phoenix az) This fits my dog really good, he is a german shepherd and it keeps him secure and comfortable while riding in the back seat. I also love how well its made and the fact that it is srtong enough to use as a walking harness afer he gets out of the car.
Don't but this product May 30, 2010 JEP 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product and drove my dog from Denver to San Francisco. It was cool weather but at the end he was sweating and dehydrated. Bad owner. Bad. Though it has a slim design and very strong web or nylon parts and anchor points to connect to, no contest there, but given safety vs comfort, comfort wins. From San Francisco back to Denver, there was no harness, and I had a very happy and comfortable dog.
indispensible for a dog owner May 27, 2010 CityGal (San Francisco, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My six month old golden retriever has just outgrown the second size of this terrific product. I'm about to buy her a large size. She has worn this in my car from the age of 8 weeks. The padded chest portion keeps her very comfortable (but I am aware that she is warmer when wearing it). I also use a bench seat cover in the back of my car to keep it clean. Once she's in the harness and once it is clipped to the strap attached to the seat belt, then I know she is safe and secure. However, I do have to agree with the other reviewer that I, too, wish the the strap that attaches to the seat belt was about 6 inches longer. You have the choice of clipping the strap around either the shoulder belt portion (the seat belt is fastened before the strap is attached) or the lap belt portion. She has a bit too much freedom when it is attached to the shoulder belt portion, but when she's secured to the lap belt portion, she's too restricted. I'd fasten her to the middle seat belt's shoulder portion but with the seat cover, I can't access the shoulder belt from behind the seat cover. I think I will try fastening the strap from the new large size that is on order to the strap from the medium size that is in the car to give her some additional freedom when fastened to the lap belt. She likes to stick her head out of the window, which is fine with me, but I don't want her to be able to jump out of the open window and land on the ground, all the while still fastened to the right passenger shoulder belt, which happened a few days ago when I was parked in a friend's driveway (thank goodness) but boy, did that surprise me! She doesn't mind wearing the harness, and I don't have to worry about her getting in the front seat, or becoming a missile if I have to stop suddenly. All dogs must be safely secured when in cars. And this product is excellent, very well made, and very comfortable to wear, and easy to use. Highly recommended!
